A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

۞ Alif Lam Mim Sad. 1 A book has been revealed to you, (Muhammad). You should not hesitate to convey its warning and its good advice to the believers. 2 Follow, [O mankind], what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other than Him any allies. Little do you remember. 3 And how many a town that We destroyed, so Our punishment came to it by night or while they slept at midday. 4 And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners." 5 We will question those to whom Our Message was sent, as We shall question the Messengers. 6 with full knowledge, We shall tell them what they did, for We have never been away from them. 7 And the weighing on that day (Day of Resurrection) will be the true (weighing). So as for those whose scale (of good deeds) will be heavy, they will be the successful (by entering Paradise). 8 whereas those whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves by their wilful rejection of Our messages. 9 We established you in the earth and made for you a livelihood but little is it that you give thanks. 10
