We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people! worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful day! 59 The leaders of his people said: "Ah! we see thee evidently wandering (in mind)." 60 [Noah] said, "O my people, there is not error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds." 61 I deliver to you the messages of my Lord, and I offer you good advice and I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 Do you find it so strange that a message should come from your Lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you and so that you may fear God and be shown mercy?" 63 And yet they gave him the lie! And so We saved him and those who stood by him, in the ark, the while We caused those who had given the lie to Our messages to drown: verily, they were blind folk! 64
