Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician 109 who seeks to drive you from your land what do you command' 110 They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers 111 “To bring all the expert magicians to you.” 112 And the sorcerers came to Pharaoh, saying, 'We shall surely have a wage, if we should be the victors?' 113 He said, 'Yes, indeed; and you shall be among the near-stationed.' 114 They said: O Musa! will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast? 115 Moses said: 'You throw.' Surely this is a device you have devised in the city that you may expel its people from it. Now you shall know! 123 Surely I shall have your hands and feet cut off upon alternate sides. Then I shall crucify you every one. 124 They said: "Verily, we are returning to our Lord. 125 "But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us!
