Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Ra. THESE ARE MESSAGES of a revelation clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 1 Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran in order that you may understand. 2 We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not. 3 LO! Thus spoke Joseph unto his father: "O my father! Behold, I saw [in a dream] eleven stars, as well as the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves before me!" 4 He said, “O my child! Do not relate your dream to your brothers, for they will hatch a plot against you; indeed Satan is an open enemy towards mankind.” 5 “And this is how your Lord will choose you and teach you how to interpret events, and will perfect His favours upon you and upon the family of Yaqub, the way He perfected it upon both your forefathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq; indeed your Lord is All Knowing, Wise.” 6
