The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people, 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; 3 And who believe in that which has been bestowed from on high upon thee, [O Prophet,] as well as in that which was bestowed before thy time: for it is they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
