The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. 2 the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them; 3 those who believe in the revelation sent down to you and in what was sent before you, and firmly believe in the life to come -- 4 They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. 5 Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 6 Allah has sealed their hearts and their ears, and on their eyes is a covering; and for them is a terrible punishment. 7
