The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 THIS DIVINE WRIT - let there be no doubt about it - is [meant to be] a guidance for all the God-conscious. 2 Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; 3 And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
