The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Alif Lam Mim. 1 This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil). 2 the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them; 3 And who believe in this (Qur’an) which has been sent down upon you, O beloved Prophet, (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) and what was sent down before you; and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 those are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones who prosper. 5 Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not 6 God has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and over their eyes is a veil; and awesome suffering awaits them. 7
