Al-Baqarah 19 of 40
You who believe, seek help through patience and prayer; surely, God is with the steadfast. 153 Do not consider those who are slain for the cause of God to be dead. They are alive but you are unaware of them. 154 And We will surely prove you with aught of fear and hunger and diminution in riches and lives and fruits; and bear thou the glad tidings unto the patient; 155 and in difficulty say, "We are the servants of God and to Him we shall all return". 156 Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. 157 ۞ Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing. 158 Lo! Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed, after We had made it clear to mankind in the Scripture: such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse. 159 Save those that repent and amend, and make manifest the truth; these it is toward whom I relent. And I am the Relenting, the Merciful! 160 Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allah and of the angels and of mankind, combined. 161 They will remain in it forever; neither will the punishment be lightened for them, nor will they be given respite. 162 And the God of you all is one God; there is no God but He, the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
