[Remember] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a city of peace and help me and my children to keep away from worshipping idols. 35 "O my Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind. But whoso follows me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeys me, - still You are indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 36 "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits: so that they may give thanks. 37 O our Lord! Surely Thou knowest what we hide and what we make public, and nothing in the earth nor any thing in heaven is hidden from Allah: 38 Praise be to Allah who has given me Ishmael and Isaac in my old age! Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of the supplication. 39 Lord, grant that I may keep up the prayer, and so may my offspring. My Lord, accept my prayer. 40 Forgive me, Lord, and forgive my parents and all the believers on the Day of Reckoning." 41
