99 verses, revealed in Mecca after Joseph (Yousuf) before Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Alif. Lam. Ra. THESE ARE MESSAGES of revelation - of a discourse clear in itself and clearly showing the truth. 1 The unbelievers would haply like to wish that they had submitted (and become Muslim). 2 Leave them to eat and enjoy, and for aspiration to involve them in play – so they will shortly come to know. 3 Not one habitation have We destroyed but at the time determined for it. 4 No group may advance its appointed promise nor postpone it. 5 And they say: O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! you are most surely insane: 6 Why dost thou not bring before us angels, if thou art a man of truth? 7 We do not send down the angels (in frivolity); and when We do send them down, We do so with Truth; then people are granted no respite. 8 It is We who have sent down the Reminder and We will, most surely, safeguard it. 9 Indeed, We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) amongst the sects (communities) of old. 10 And never came a Messenger to them but they did mock him. 11 We place in the hearts of sinners (disbelief). 12 So, they will not believe in it: The example of former people is there. 13 And if We open for them a gate in the heavens, to ascend it through the day – 14 They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery." 15

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
