Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 40 (To which God) said: "This way is right by Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
