The pious will live in gardens with streams 45 “Enter them with peace, in safety.” 46 And We remove whatever rancour may be in their breasts. As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised. 47 "No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it." 48 ۞ [O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful. 49 and that My chastisement is the painful chastisement. 50 And tell them about Abraham's guests. 51 who came to him saying, "Peace be with you." Abraham said, "We are afraid of you". 52 They said, “Do not fear we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said, 'What, do you give me good tidings, though old age has smitten me? Of what do you 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They said: verily we have been sent unto a people guilty 58 excepting the folk of Lot; them we shall deliver 59 "Other than his wife who, it is decreed, will remain with those who will stay behind." 60

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
