Verily the God-fearing shall be amidst gardens and springs. 45 They will be told: "Enter it in peace and security." 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 No fatigue will touch them nor will they be expelled therefrom." 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment. 50 Inform them about the matter of Abraham's guests. 51 When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. 52 They said: "Do not feel afraid, for we give you the good news of a wise boy." 53 He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?-- Of what then do you give me good news! 54 They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones." 55 He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones? 56 [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 57 They said: Surely we are sent towards a guilty people, 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 "Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)." 60

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
