Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Verily the God-fearing shall be amidst gardens and springs. 45 'In peace and security, enter them' 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Tell My worshipers that I am the Forgiving, the Most Merciful, 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair' 55 He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 "Except the family of Lot whom we shall save 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
