And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
