And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 As to what they did. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
