And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About what they used to do. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
