Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
