And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 For all their deeds. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
