And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 for what they have done 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
