The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
