And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 About their deeds. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
