The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with a purpose. Exalted is He above that which they associate. 3 He created man out of a mere drop of fluid, and lo! he turned into an open wrangler. 4 And the cattle! He hath created them. For you in them there is warmth and other profits and of them ye eat. 5 And wherein is beauty for you, when ye bring them home, and when ye take them out to pasture. 6 And they bear your loads to a city which ye could not reach except with travail of souls; verily your Lord is Kind, Merciful. 7 And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
