The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Command of Allah will surely come; do not seek to hasten it. Highly exalted is He above that they associate with Him. 1 He sends down this spirit (of prophecy) by His command through His angels on any of His servants whom He wills, (directing them): "Warn people that there is no deity but Me; so hold Me alone in fear." 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth. High is He above what they associate with Him. 3 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! 4 He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat. 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 And they bear your loads to a city which ye could not reach except with travail of souls; verily your Lord is Kind, Merciful. 7 And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know. 8 And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright. 9
