The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah's judgement has (all but) come; do not, then, call for its speedy advent. Holy is He, and far above their associating others with Him in His Divinity. 1 He causes the angels to descend with this divine inspiration, [bestowed] at His behest upon whomever He wills of His servants: "Warn [all human beings] that there is no deity save Me: be, therefore, conscious of Me!" 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with a purpose. Exalted is He above that which they associate. 3 He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent. 4 And the cattle -- He created them for you; in them is warmth, and uses various, and of them you eat, 5 How beautiful you find them when you bring them home and when you drive them out to graze. 6 They carry your loads to places which you could otherwise not reach without great hardship, surely, your Lord is compassionate and merciful, 7 He has created horses, mules and donkeys, so that you may ride them, and also so that they may be put on show, and He creates other things beyond your knowledge. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
