It is God who sends down water from the sky for you to drink and produces plants as pasture for your cattle. 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And that which He has multiplied for you in the earth of diverse hues. Surely in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth ornaments from it that you can wear. And you see ships ploughing their course through it so that you may go forth seeking His Bounty and be grateful to Him. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember? 17 And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 And those they call upon, apart from God, created nothing, and themselves are created, 20 Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised. 21
