It is He Who sent down water from the sky – you drink from it, and from it are trees you use as pasture. 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
