He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture. 10 Therewith He causeth crops to grow for you, and the olive and the date-palm and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect. 11 And He subjected the night and the day for you – and the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected to His command; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 12 And the things He has created for you in the earth, of numerous colours; indeed in this is a sign for people who remember. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, so that you may eat its fresh seafood and bring forth from it ornaments to wear. You see the ships cleaving through it. All this, so that you may seek His bounty and feel grateful. 14 And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, 15 And waymarks; and by the star they are guided. 16 Is He who creates as he who does not create? Will you not remember? 17 For, should you try to count God's blessings, you could never compute them! Behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace; 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
