He it is Who sends down water for you from the sky out of which you drink and out of which grow the plants on which you pasture your cattle, 10 He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 11 He has subjected to you the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who understands. 12 And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed. 13 And He it is who hath subjected the sea that ye may eat thereout flesh fresh and bring forth therefrom ornaments that ye wear. And thou beholdest ships ploughing therein, and it is in order that ye may seek of His grace, and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. 19 Those whom they call upon beside Allah have created nothing; rather, they themselves were created; 20 (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. 21
