He it is who sendeth down from the heaven water for you, wherefrom is drinking and wherefrom are trees whereas ye pasture your herds. 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And what He has multiplied for you in the earth is of various hues; surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who remember. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 as well as [various other] means of orientation: for [it is] by the stars that men find their way. 16 Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 They are dead, not alive; and they do not know when will the people be raised. 21
