۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 And to Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and in the earth, and obeying Him only is obligatory; so will you fear anyone other than Allah? 52 And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid. 53 Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 They assign daughters to God, glory be to Him!, but for themselves [sons] that they desire to have. 57 And when a daughter is announced to one of them his face becomes black and he is full of wrath. 58 They try to hide themselves from the people because of the disgrace of such news. Will they keep their new born despite the disgrace or bury it alive? How sinful is their Judgment! 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil description, and for Allah is the highest description. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 60
