Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters; 120 he was thankful for His blessings. God chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 And We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the good. 122 So We commanded you to follow the way of Abraham the upright who was not of idolaters. 123 The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will decide the differences that were between them. 124 Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided. 125 Hence, if you have to respond to an attack [in argument,] respond only to the extent of the attack levelled against you; but to bear yourselves with patience is indeed far better for [you, since God is with] those who are patient in adversity. 126 And bear with patience, (O Muhammad) - and your patience is only because of the help of Allah - and do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed by their evil plans. 127 Surely God is with those who are godfearing, and those who are good-doers. 128
