To Moses We did give Nine Clear Signs: Ask the Children of Israel: when he came to them, Pharaoh said to him: "O Moses! I consider thee, indeed, to have been worked upon by sorcery! 101 He replied: "You know that none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth has sent these (signs) as cogent proof. I truly think, O Pharaoh, your days are done." 102 Then he besought to unsettle them from the land; wherefore We drowned him and those with him, all together. 103 And We said to the Israelites after him: Dwell in the land: and when the promise of the next life shall come to pass, we will bring you both together in judgment. 104 We have sent down the Qur'an with the Truth, and it is with the Truth that it has descended. And We have not sent you but to proclaim good news and to warn. 105 We have divided the Qur'an into parts that you may recite it to men slowly, with deliberation. That is why We sent it down by degrees. 106 Say: "Whether ye believe in it or not, it is true that those who were given knowledge beforehand, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration, 107 And they say, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled." 108 And so they fall down upon their faces, weeping, and [their consciousness of God's grace] increases their humility. ۩ 109 Say, "Whether you call on God or on the Merciful One: His are the finest names." Pray neither in too loud a voice nor in silence, but between these two extremes. Seek a middle way 110 And say: 'Praise belongs to God, who has not taken to Him a son, and who has not any associate in the Kingdom, nor any protector out of humbleness.' And magnify Him with repeated magnificats. 111
