And [mention] when Moses said to his servant, "I will not cease [traveling] until I reach the junction of the two seas or continue for a long period." 60 But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away. 61 And when the twain had passed by, he said unto his page: bring us our morning-meal, assuredly we have met from this journey of ours, toil 62 He replied, "Did you see when we were resting by the rock, that I forgot the fish? Satan made me forget it, so I did not mention it. It made its way to the sea in a miraculous way!" 63 Said he, 'This is what we were seeking!' And so they returned upon their tracks, retracing them. 64 and found one of Our worshipers to whom We had given from Our Mercy, and to whom We had taught knowledge of Ours. 65 Musa (Moses) said to him (Khidr) "May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allah)?" 66 [The other] answered: "Behold, thou wilt never be able to have patience with me 67 And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?" 68 Said Moosa, “Allah willing, you will soon find me patient and I will not do anything against your instructions.” 69 Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof." 70
