'ThulKarnain' We said, 'you must either punish them or show them kindness' 86 He said: As for him who doeth wrong, we shall punish him, and then he will be brought back unto his Lord, Who will punish him with awful punishment! 87 But he who believes and does the right will have an excellent reward, and we shall make things easy for him." 88 Then he followed the road, 89 until he reached the rising of the sun, he found it rising upon a nation for whom We provided no veil against it to shade them. 90 So (it was). And We knew all concerning him. 91 Then he set out on another expedition 92 until he came between two mountains. He found beside them a people who could scarcely understand a word [of his language]. 93 They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (People) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them? 94 He said, 'That wherein my Lord has established me is better; so aid me forcefully, and I will set up a rampart between you and between them. 95 Bring me blocks of iron; until when he had filled up the space between the two mountain sides, he said: Blow, until when he had made it (as) fire, he said: Bring me molten brass which I may pour over it. 96 Therefore Yajuj and Majuj were neither able to surmount it, nor could they pierce it. 97 He said: this is a mercy from my Lord; then when the promise of my Lord cometh, He shall make it powder, and the promise of my Lord is ever true. 98 ۞ On that Day, We shall let them surge against each other like waves and then the Trumpet will be blown and We shall gather them all together. 99 And We will present Hell that Day to the Disbelievers, on display - 100 Whose eyes were veiled against My warning, and they could not hear. 101
