Mention in the Book Abraham; He was truthful and a Prophet. 41 He said to his father: 'O father, why worship that which can neither see nor hear, nor helps you in anything? 42 O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path. 43 “O my father, do not be a bondman of the devil; indeed the devil is disobedient towards the Most Gracious.” 44 Father, indeed I fear lest a punishment from the Gracious One afflict you, and you become a friend of Satan." 45 He said: Do you dislike my gods, O Ibrahim? If you do not desist I will certainly revile you, and leave me for a time. 46 Abraham replied, "Peace be on you: I will pray to my Lord for your forgiveness, He has indeed been gracious to me, 47 Now I will go away from you and that you call upon, other than Allah. I will call on my Lord. Perhaps I shall not be unblessed in calling my Lord' 48 When (Abraham) rejected his people and what they worshipped instead of God, We gave him Isaac and Jacob and made both of them Prophets. 49 And We granted to them of Our mercy, and We left (behind them) a truthful mention of eminence for them. 50
