Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before this, and he was non existent? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 Not one of you there is, but he shall go down to it; that for thy Lord is a thing decreed, determined. 71 Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army? 73 And many a generation We did destroy before them, who exceeded them in wealth and pomp! 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)? 78 Nay, but We shall record that which he saith and prolong for him a span of torment. 79 And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have chosen Gods besides Allah, so that they may provide them strength! 81 Nay, but they (the so-called gods) will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them (on the Day of Resurrection). 82
