And says man, “When I am dead, will I soon be brought forth alive?” 66 Will not man remember that We created him aforetime, when he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees. 68 Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against (Allah) Most Gracious. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Which of the two parties is best in abiding and best in assembly? 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the Most Merciful prolong his life span until they see that which they were threatened, be it a punishment, or the Hour. Then shall they know whose is the worst place and who is weaker in hosts' 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Note the words of the disbeliever, "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? 78 By no means! We shall write down that which he saith; and We shall lengthen for him of the torment a length. 79 We shall inherit that of which he speaks and he will come before Us alone. 80 And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them. 81 But they shall reject their worship and turn against them. 82
