WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 But does man not bear in mind that We have created him aforetime out of nothing? 67 By thy Lord, then, We shall surely gather them and the satans; thereafter We shall surely bring them round Hell, kneeling. 68 Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army? 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say thou: whosoever is in error - surely unto him the Compassionate lengtheneth a length, until when they behold that wherewith they were threatened, either the torment or the Hour, then they shall come to know whosoever is worse in position and weaker as an army. 75 And Allah increases in guidance those who go aright; and ever-abiding good works are with your Lord best in recompense and best in yielding fruit. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children). 80 And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might. 81 In fact, they can have no honor; their gods will renounce their worship of idols and will turn against them. 82
