Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. 84 On the day when We shall gather the righteous unto the Beneficent, a goodly company. 85 and We shall drive the guilty ones to Hell as a thirsty herd. 86 [on that Day] none will have [the benefit of] intercession unless he has [in his lifetime] entered into a bond with the Most Gracious. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing 89 the heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth break asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. 93 He knows their number and has counted each one of them. 94 On the Day of Resurrection each one of these will come to Him singly. 95 VERILY, those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds will the Most Gracious endow with love: 96 Therefore, We have revealed the Qur'an in your tongue and made it easy to understand that you may give glad tidings to the God-fearing and warn a contentious people. 97 And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound? 98
