Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 They say, "The Gracious One has begotten a son." 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for 90 Due to their ascribing of an offspring to the Most Gracious. 91 It does not befit the Most Compassionate Lord that He should take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience. 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love. 96 So We have made this (Qur'an) easy in your tongue that you may give good news to those who take heed, and warn the people who are contentious. 97 And how many a generation We destroyed before them! Dost thou perceive so much as one of them, or hear of them a whisper? 98
