T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
