In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
