T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
