135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 “The Last Day will surely come it was close that I hide it from all in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
