T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
