T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
