T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
