T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
